In Memory of Ray Eaglin By Chuck Armsbury
"Raymond Eaglin, a dedicated comrade and warrior, passed away in 2004. He played a vital role in the revolutionary movements of the late 1960s/early 70s, including organizing chapters of the Black Panther Party and the Patriot Party in Eugene, Oregon. His contributions as an artist and community organizer left a lasting impact.

"Ray Eaglin was born December 18, 1941 in Galveston, Texas and grew up in Beaumont, Texas where he was an outstanding high school football player. He had an exceptional football career in the Marine Corp before earning a scholarship to the University of Oregon where he was an outstanding defensive lineman in 1965. An injury cut his college football career short, but in 1967 he played professional football for the Eugene Bombers of the Continental Football League....
